News: Dr. Syring Professor Profile & Bayside Community Center

For my Multimedia Journalism class, I helped create videos that highlighted different voices of students on campus and edited segments together to share more about the USD community. For my final project in the class, I interviewed
Dr. Syring, learning more about his Anthropology class that partnered with the Bayside Community Center and their volunteer experience in Bayside’s new community garden. The class worked in the garden, but also talked with people in the Linda Vista Community and created videos with voice-overs of their stories to highlight these community members. I was able to learn more about how the garden was created, how the class partnered with the organization, and Dr. Syring’s approach to visual storytelling.
