For my Multimedia Journalism class, I interviewed Dr. Syring and learned more about his Anthropology class that partnered with the Bayside Community Center to volunteer in their new community garden. While volunteering in the garden, students talked with people in the Linda Vista Community and created videos highlighting the stories of community members. I was able to learn more about how the garden was created, how the class partnered with the organization, and Dr. Syring’s approach to visual storytelling.
